Tobacco River Campground (TRC) is one of Michigan's finest premier campgrounds in the state. TRC is nestled in the middle of the shaded woods on the banks of the Tobacco River. TRC has a rustic atmosphere where you camp underneath tall beautiful trees while still having the accommodations for the more modern campers. TRC is located in Gladwin County in between Beaverton and Edenville. Just minutes from beautiful Wixom Lake, TRC offers something for all campers from tents to motor homes. TRC has both rustic and electric sites with a newly remodeled bathhouse with showers.
Children can play on the playground, and swim or fish in the Tobacco River while adults can enjoy a game of shoes in the horseshoe pits. TRC offers a boat launch and dock rental for boaters. Head up river for excellent fishing or down river to the open waters of Wixom Lake great for water skiing, tubing and all other water sports. Take a canoe ride down the secluded Tobacco River and enjoy the tranquility and wildlife. Keep your eyes open for bald eagles, deer, turtles and more. The camp store offers the necessities of camping along with ice cream and other treats for the kids. Since TRC is just minutes from Beaverton and Edenville, grocery and restaurants are close by.
